Leicester City closing in on Fatawu Issahaku

Fatawu Issahaku joining Leicester City

English Championship side Leicester City are on the verge of securing the service of Ghanaian winger Abdul Fatawu Issahaku before the transfer window closes.

Getsportsgh.com understands Issahaku and his camp have agreed to join Leicester pending an agreement with Sporting CP.

The 19-year old was close to joining Crystal Palace but the Selhurst-based club pulled out after having their bid rejected.

Issahaku is expected to undergo medical in London next week should Leicester City reach an agreement with Sporting CP.

Leicester City have targeted Issahaku as an extra wide option following the sale of Harvey Barnes to Newcastle United.

The Ghana U-23 star joined Sporting CP on a five-year deal from Ghanaian side Dreams FC in 2022.

Issahaku made six first-tean appearance last season and appeared as a substitute for Ghana at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar but Sporting CP want him to leave.
