Kotoko midfielder Justice Blay expected to make injury return on this day

Asante Kotoko midfield dynamo Justice Blay is expected to make injury return by the begining of next week according to reports reaching Getsportsgh.com.

The defensive midfielder sustained a slight injury last week during one of the club’s pre-season training sessions at Beposo in the Ashanti Region.

And after the club’s assessment, reports say the injury is not that serious and Blay could return to training by the beginning of next week.

Blay is expected to dazzle in the Asante Kotoko midfield next season after a topsy-turvy campaign last season.

Coach Narteh Ogum and his charges have intensified their pre-season training at Beposo with former King Faisal Football Club midfielder Baba Yahaya included despite not signing for the club.

Baba Yahaya’s move to Asante Kotoko is imminent with negotiations in advanced after impressing the club’s technical team at training.

He will join Asante Kotoko on free transfer after ending his stay at King Faisal Football Club.

Yahaya was exceptional for King Faisal last season despite the team’s failure to survive relegation.

He netted three goals for King Faisal in 33 appearances in the 2022/23 top-flight and also put up a spirited performance to help his outfit reach the finals of the FA Cup.

Baba Yahaya will join the Asante Kotoko midfield that boast of Richmond Lamptey, Justice Blay, Rashid Nortey, Eric Zeze and host of other talented players.
