Former RTU talisman on Asante Kotoko radar

Former midfielder of Real Tamale United (RTU) Sadat Mohammed has popped up on the radar of Kumasi Asante Kotoko ahead of the 2023/24 football season.

The talented midfielder could be joining the porcupines after expressing interest in the player.

According to information gathered by, Kotoko is keen to sign the player though there hasn’t been any verbal discussions yet.

Sadat Mohammed who played a key role for the Tamale-based side to avoid relegation in the previous season is currently a free agent after his contract expired with Real Tamale United.

Meanwhile, the Kumasi-based Ghana Premier League team seeks to intensify their pursuit of the player to begin formal discussions with his camp for the deal to be completed.

Sadat left the club following the expiration of his contract with RTU alongside Stephen Badu Dunkwa.

The departure of the duo adds to the number of nine players to have also exited the club to pursue their career elsewhere.

The rest include; Yaw Osei, Kwame Boakye, Manaf Umar, Nurudeen Mohammed Yussif, Issah Kuka, Roland Frimpong, and Mathew Abayase.
