Ghana forward Ernest Nuamah has landed in France to complete a move to ligue I side Olympic Lyon, can exclusively report.

The 19-year old is joining Lyon on loan with obligation to buy clause for €23 million from FC Nordsjaelland.

Nuamah has become a transfer target for Lyon following his outstanding performance for FC Nordsjaelland in the Dutch league.

Lyon are pay nearly double of the €17million Rennes paid for Kamaldeen Sulemana which is the current Danish transfer record.

Should the deal end in success, Ernest Nuamah will overtake Kamaldeen Sulemana as the highest transfer record in Denmark.

Nuamah started his career with Right to Dream Academy before joining FC Nordsjælland in January 2022.

He made his debut for FC Nordsjaelland on April 10, 2022 when he came on in the 67th minute for Magnus Kofod Andersen to score an 84th minute goal in a 2–2 draw to Aarhus GF where he won the man-of-the-match award.

In September 2022 Nuamah was adjudged the young player of the month.

On March 19, 2023, Ernest Nuamah scored a brace including the winning goal in a 2–1 win against Brøndby. He received the award for Danish Superliga Player of the Year at the end of the season.

Nuamah started the 2023–24 season off strong, scoring a hat-trick in a 4–1 league victory against Viborg on 24 July 2023, the first matchday of the new campaign.

He has bagged seventeen goals in 42 matches for FC Nordsjaelland since joining the club in 2022.

Nuamah was part of the Ghana U-23 squad that participated in the U-23 AFCON in Morocco earlier this year.
