Ahead of the forthcoming GFA elections in September, the incumbent Kurt Okraku has challenged his competitor George Afriyie to come out with his campaign message.

Okraku is seeking for re-election as GFA President in the upcoming elections and will battle with George Afriyie for the top seat in Ghana football parlance.

Ghana football is on the decline under Kurt Okraku – George Afriyie

After undergoing a successful vetting on Monday, August 21, Kurt Okraku confidently said the enormous job that he has done in the last four years as GFA capo speak volume of what he is capable of doing when given a second term mandate.

“I’m done with the vetting and I have a good message to tell Ghanaians and I want him to also bring his message”, Mr Okraku said.

The Dreams FC bankroller became the GFA capo in October, 2019, taking over the mantle from Kwesi Nyantakyi whose administration came to an abrupt end following the Anas Aremeyaw Anas number 12 video which uncovered the rot in Ghana football.

Since declaring intention to contest for the seat, Okraku has received huge backings from some astute football administrators including former GFA President and Hearts of Oak board member Dr Nyaho Nyaho-Tamakloe, Great Olympics board chair Nii Amarkai Amarteifio, Medeama President Moses Armah Parker and host of others.
