Ghana Premier League side RTU have shown interest in out-of-favour Asante Kotoko defender Maxwell Agyemang according to reports reaching

Agyemang is leaving Asante Kotoko on free transfer with his contract set to be terminated as earlier reported.

RTU who have lost over eight players in the ongoing transfer window, have reportedly approach Maxwell Agyemang for a possible transfer.

The 27-year old has been deemed surplus to requirements at Asante Kotoko and set to leave the club on free transfer.

Out-of-favour Asante Kotoko attacker not ready to leave club understands Maxwell Agyemang might consider signing for a local club should he fail to get a move abroad.

Agyemang joined Asante Kotoko on a three-year deal from Division One League outfit Wamanafo Mighty Royals in 2021.

Throughout his tenure, Agyemang showcased his prowess with a string of commanding performances at the heart of Kotoko’s defensive line.

He will become the latest player to leave Asante Kotoko in the ongoing transfer window after Mohammed Alhassan, Dickson Afoakwa, Samuel Boateng, Charles Owusu and Joseph Amoako.

Maxwell Agyemang contributed to Asante Kotoko success in winning the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League title under the tutelage of Coach Prosper Narteh Ogum.

And despite having one year remaining on his contract with the club, Maxwell Agyemang has been encouraged to embark on a new chapter in his professional journey.
