Stephen Anokye Badu joins Defence Force SC in Ethiopia

Aduana Stars defender Stephen Anokye Badu has joined Ethiopian first division side Defence Force Sports Club on a permanent deal, Getsportgh.com can exclusively report.

The 27-year old has signed for the Addis Ababa-based club after a fruitful agreement between the two clubs.

Getsportsgh.com understands Anokye Badu has left Ghana for Ethiopia to complete the deal.

The former Sohar SC defender becomes the second player from Aduana Stars to leave for Ethiopia after Kwame Adom Frimpong who has signed for Saint George SC.

The duo have joined the likes of Caleb Amankwah, Umar Bashiru and other Ghanaian players in the Ethiopian league.

Aduana Stars appoint Yaw Acheampong as new head coach

Bashiru formerly of Karela United and Asante Kotoko have joined Ethiopian Commercial Bank alongside Caleb Amankwah who joined the club on free transfer after leaving Hearts of Oak.

Stephen Anokye Badu was pivotal for Aduana Stars last season despite the team losing the league title to Medeama SC at the latter stages of the Ghana Premier League.
