Five-star Hearts of Oak thrash Miracle Land FC 11-1 in pre-season friendly

A spirited performance from Accra Hearts of Oak on Thursday afternoon saw them thrashed lower tier side Miracle Land FC 11-1 in a pre-season friendly in Accra.

The phobians who left no stone unturned in their preparation towards the 2023/24 football season stepped-up their performance with a five-star display by humbling their opponent.

Showing glimpses of football business on the day, Winimi Patasi gave the Ghana Premier League outfit the lead in the 16th minutes after slotting home from a Seidu Suraj corner.

Twelve minutes later, Seidu Suraj, the provider turned scorer in the 28th minutes with a nice finish doubling the lead for the Phobians before the referee blew his whistle for recess.

Back from recess, Congolese forward, Kassala Ramos scored a hattrick whiles substitute Hamza Issah added his name on the scoresheet with a brace.

Mitchel Sarpong could not leave his name out of the scorers as he managed to hit brace coming from the bench. Martin Karikari and Linda Mtange both scored one each to complete the demolishing exercise.

Miracle Land FC managed and pulled one back in the 82nd minutes but was not enough as the game ended 11-1.

Hearts of Oak started the game with a strong line-up having Richard Attah in poles with notable players including Denis Korsah, Eric Esso, Linda Otanga, Kwadwo Obeng Jnr, and Salifu Ibrahim.

The team will continue their preseason ongoing at the Pobiman Sports Complex ahead of the season where they opened their campaign with a game against RTU in Tamale.
