Asante Kotoko part ways with Maxwell Agyemang

Ghana Premier League heavyweight, Asante Kotoko have parted ways with underperforming defender Maxwell Agyemang, Getsportsgh.com can exclusively reveal.

The 27-year old has left Asante Kotoko after having his contract terminated on mutual consent after being deemed surplus to requirements by the club’s head coach Prosper Narteh Ogum.

Getsportsgh.com can report that Maxwell Agyemang is heading to Europe with talks in the advance stage.

Agyemang joined Asante Kotoko on a three-year deal from Division One League outfit Wamanafo Mighty Royals in 2021.

Throughout his tenure, Agyemang showcased his prowess with a string of commanding performances at the heart of Kotoko’s defensive line.

He becomes the latest player to leave Asante Kotoko in the ongoing transfer window after Mohammed Alhassan, Dickson Afoakwa, Samuel Boateng, Charles Owusu and Joseph Amoako.

Maxwell Agyemang contributed to Asante Kotoko success in winning the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League title under the tutelage of Coach Prosper Narteh Ogum.

And despite having one year remaining on his contract with the club, Maxwell Agyemang has been encouraged to embark on a new chapter in his professional journey.
