2023 Africa Para Games: Ghana draws Tanzania, two others in amputee football

Ghana will begin their host and win mantra with the group games

The Black Challenge have been drawn in Group A alongside Tanzania, Cameroon and Zimbabwe in the amputee football of the 2023 African Para Games slated for Ghana in September.

The tournament scheduled to take place in Ghana is expected to start from September 3 to September 12.

The Ghanaian team nicknamed ‘The Black Challenge’ were drawn in Group A alongside Tanzania, Cameroon and Zimbabwe.

The draw for next month’s tournament was held in Angola today, Thursday, August 17, 2023, by the Confederation of African Amputee Football.

Having begun with the ‘host and win’ mantra, the Ghana Amputee National team, will have to overcome its opponents in the group stages for a knock stage qualifying berth.

The team has already opened a residential camping in Accra on Wednesday, August 16, 2023, ahead of pending international friendly match with Togo, Nigeria and among others with European opponents.

Head coach, Stephen Richard Obeng has since invited a 31-man squad who reported to the Wembly Park – Kotobabi  for the residential camping.

The Black Challenge are currently the reigning African Champions of Amputee Football.
