REPORTS: Hearts of Oak sign Ivorian goalie Wilfred Kouassi

Wilfred Kouassi has reportedly signed for Hearts of Oak

Ghanaian football powerhouse, Hearts of Oak have reportedly secured the acquisition of Ivorian goalkeeper Yao Wilfried Kouassi.

The 26-year old has reportedly signed a two-year deal for the Phobians after impressing the technical handlers of the team during training sessions at Pobiman.

Wilfred Kouassi has joined the former Ghana Premier League champions after ending his stay with FC Mouna.

Hearts of Oak have signed Wilfred Kouassi to bolster the goalkeeping department that boast of Richard Attah, Richmond Ayi and Eric Ofori Antwi. understands the deal was orchestrated by former Asante Kotoko goal poacher, Ahmed Toure who is now a football agent.

Kouassi has joined the former CAF Champions League champions following a scintillating form for FC Mouna and played an instrumental role in the team’s qualification to the Ivorian top-flight league in the 2022/23 league season.

Wilfred Kouassi made twelve clean sheets for FC Mouna, conceding fifteen goals in twenty-five matches which earned him recognition as the best goalkeeper in the lower-tier league.

He has become the latest addition to the Hearts of Oak squad after Asekem FC trio of Raphael Amponsah, Evans Adomako and Martin Karikari.

The Phobians have also completed the acquisition of Leventus Arthur and Kelvin Osei Asibey formerly of Techiman Eleven Wonders.

The Rainbow giants have also recalled striker Issah Kuka from loan spell at Real Tamale United.

Kuka joined Real Tamale United on loan last season after his promotion from the Hearts of Oak youth team, Auroras. He netted eleven goals for the Tamale-based club and emerged as the club’s topscorer last season.
