Bibiani Goldstars have parted ways with six players

Ghana Premier league side Bibiani Goldstars have parted ways with six players ahead of the 2023/24 league season.

The Bibiani-based club have parted ways with Noah Martey, Atta Kusi, Nii Kalala, Evans Owusu, Joshua Akoto and Ebenezer Aboagye.

This forms part of the club’s squad planning ahead of the forthcoming league season.

A club’s statement reads, “The club would like to thank these outstanding personalities for the immense contributions towards the success of the club. we bid them farewell and wishes them all the best in their future endeavours. Always truly miner and Gye Nyame.”

 

Meanwhile, perspicacious midfielder, Stephen Owusu Banahene has signed a new contract extension with Bibiani Goldstars after fruitful discussion.

Getsportsgh.com can exclusively report that Owusu Banahene has signed a two-year contract extension with Bibiani Goldstars ahead of the 2023/24 league season.

The new contract extension will keep Owusu Banahene at Bibiani Goldstars untill 2025.

Before signing a new contract for Bibiani Goldstars, Stephen Owusu Banahene had confirmed talks with Hearts of Oak for a possible transfer.

“Hearts of Oak have expressed interest in me, and we are in talks, but we are yet to agree on a fee. Both parties are yet to reach an agreement, but we are still in talks,” Banahene revealed during an interview with Kessben FM.

Owusu Banahene joined Bibiani Goldstars in February 2023 and played a key role in helping the club secure a commendable 5th position on the Ghana Premier League table last season
