Paa Kwesi Fabin outdoors as Legon Cities coach

Paa Kwesi Fabin signed a two-year deal with the Royals.

Ghana Premier League side, Legon Cities has officially outdoor Paa Kwesi Fabin as their new Head Coach, ahead of the start of the 2023/24 betPawa Premier League season.

The former Black Starlets trainer has signed a two-year deal with the team and was unveiled in Accra, on Tuesday, August 8, 2023.

Fabin, joined the Royals from Dormaa-based Aduana Stars after he guided them to a second-place finish last season before subsequently leaving his role at the end of the season.

The former Kumasi Asante Kotoko and Aduana Stars experience coach replaces Maxwell Konadu who left his role to Nsoatreman FC .

At the unveiling ceremony Paa Kwesi Fabin said he is delighted to be part of the Royals family and expressed readiness for the new challenge.

“After leaving my previous club, I wanted to stay off for a while and start my own academy but when LCFC called, it was difficult to say no. I am excited to be here and start this new challenge. I look forward to a fruitful season together with the management and players.

Things will have to be different this time round. We can’t finish 9th again. We have to improve the team together and do a lot of work. I have only officially started work on Monday but there are over 100 players who have arrived for justify at the training grounds,” he said.

Paa Kwesi Fabin stressed, saying the technical team are working around the clock to ensure they sign new players to beef up the squad ahead of the season.

His official match with Legon Cities will take place in September against Karela United on matchday one of the 2023/24 league season.

Legon Cities secured a 9th-place finish under Maxwell Konadu in the previous season.
