Yahaya Dawuni has officially joined Asante Kotoko

Ghanaian champions, Asante Kotoko have announced the capturing of bulky defender Yahaya Dawuni.

The talented defender has signed a three-year deal for Asante Kotoko after a successful medical this afternoon.

His addition comes as huge boost for Asante Kotoko who are reinforcing squad for the 2023/24 league season.

Yahaya Dawuni, who last played for Susubiribi Sporting Club, has officially become Asante Kotoko first signing under coach Prosper Narteh Ogum.

There are reports that Asante Kotoko have also completed the signing of Michael Dwamena formerly of WAFA SC and Berekum Chelsea duo of Henry Ansu and Kalo Quattara, pending official announcement.

Midfield sensation Michael Kyei Dwamena has reportedly signed a three-year deal for Asante Kotoko, pending official announcement same as striker Kalo Quattara and enterprising defender Henry Ansu.

The newly-signed players are expected to join the Asante Kotoko squad for the preseason training.

Meanwhile, Asante will part ways with eleven players ahead of the 2023/24 league season.

The players include; Abdul Rafiu Yakubu, Maxwell Agyemang, Andrews Appau, Mohammed Alhassan, Solomon Sarfo Taylor and Samuel Boateng.

Others are Ernest Osei Opoku, Evans Adomako, Clinton Opoku, Charles Owusu and Dickson Afoakwa.

This forms part of Asante Kotoko squad planning for the 2023/24 league season.

Asante Kotoko will commence pre-season for the 2023/24 league season at Beposo Park in the Ashanti Region on on August 8, 2023.
