Berekum Chelsea coach says Henry Ansu and Kalo Quattara are still part of the team

Berekum Chelsea head coach, Christopher Ennin has said Henry Ansu and Kalo Quattara are still part of his team despite rumours of the duo joining Asante Kotoko.

Henry Ansu and Kalo Quattara have been reported in the local media to have sealed a move to Asante Kotoko ahead of the 2023/24 league season.

According to reports, the two players have completed three-year deal each with Asante Kotoko after passing mandatory medical in Kumasi.

But Christopher Ennin has however spoken about the reports indicating that both players are still in the team with no contacts from any club for their services.

“For now, I know nothing about the move, so I can’t say much about it. I have not released any of my players to Kotoko. Being the head coach, I know nothing about it so they are still part of the team” he told Kessben FM.

The duo are among the four players reportedly signed by Asante Kotoko in the ongoing transfer window.

The four players reportedly signed by the former Ghana Premier league champions include Henry Ansu, Kalo Quattara, Yahaya Dawuni and Michael Kyei Dwamena.

Yahaya Dawuni has signed a three-year deal for Asante Kotoko after fruitful negotiations. The bulky defender has joined Kotoko from lower-tier side Susubiribi Sporting Club.

The Porcupine Warriors have also secured the signature of former WAFA SC skipper Michael Kyei Dwamena on a three-year deal after mandatory medical, pending official announcement.

The enterprising midfielder has joined the Kumasi-based club as direct replacement for Richard Boadu who left for Al Ahly in Libya.

The four players will reportedly join the Asante Kotoko squad for preseason training in Beposo in the Ashanti Region on August 8, 2023.
