Yahaya Dawuni lands in Kumasi to complete Asante Kotoko move

Yahaya Dawuni is joining Asante Kotoko from Susubiribi Sporting Club

Susubiribi Sporting Club defender Yahaya Dawuni has arrived in Kumasi to finalize Asante Kotoko move.

The bulky defender touched down in the Ashanti Regional capital on Monday morning to undergo Asante Kotoko medical before the official announcement.

Dawuni will sign a three-year deal for Asante Kotoko after a successful medical this afternoon.

His addition comes as huge boost for Asante Kotoko who are reinforcing squad for the 2023/24 league season.

Yahaya Dawuni will become the latest addition to the Asante Kotoko squad after Michael Dwamena formerly of WAFA SC and Berekum Chelsea duo of the Ansu and Kalo Quattara.

Midfield sensation Michael Kyei Dwamena has signed a three-year deal for Asante Kotoko, pending official announcement same as striker Kalo Quattara and enterprising defender Henry Ansu.

The newly-signed players are expected to join the Asante Kotoko squad for the preseason training.

Meanwhile, Asante will part ways with eleven players ahead of the 2023/24 league season.

The players include; Abdul Rafiu Yakubu, Maxwell Agyemang, Andrews Appau, Mohammed Alhassan, Solomon Sarfo Taylor and Samuel Boateng.

Others are Ernest Osei Opoku, Evans Adomako, Clinton Opoku, Charles Owusu and Dickson Afoakwa.

This forms part of Asante Kotoko squad planning for the 2023/24 league season.

Asante Kotoko will commence pre-season for the 2023/24 league season at Beposo Park in the Ashanti Region on on August 8, 2023.
