JUST IN: Kotoko reach agreement with Chelsea for Kalo Quattara

Kalo Quattara will be joining Asante Kotoko after fruitful negotiations

Ghanaian giants, Asante Kotoko have reached an agreement with Berekum Chelsea for striker Kalo Quattara.

According to local transfer expert Mohammed Shaban, the two clubs have reached an agreement for the transfer of the talented goal poacher who was a sensation for Berekum Chelsea last season.

Kalo Quattara is expected to join teammate Henry Ansu to Kumasi for Asante Kotoko medical next week.

Both Kalo Quattara and Henry Ansu are joining Asante Kotoko after fruitful negotiations with Berekum Chelsea to bolster squad for the 2023/24 league season.

The duo, as earlier reported by Getsportsgh.com, are joining Asante Kotoko based on the recommendation of coach Prosper Narteh Ogum.

Should they pass medical, Kalo Quattara and Henry Ansu will become the lastest additions to the Asante Kotoko squad after former WAFA SC skipper Michael Dwamena.

Dwamena has joined Asante Kotoko on a two-year deal and will replace skipper Richard Boadu who left the club for Al Ahly in Libya.

Kalo Quattara will join Kotoko as the new striker despite the club boasting of Steven Mukwala Dese, Isaac Oppong, Solomon Sarfo Taylor and Samuel Boateng as attackers.

Meanwhile, Asante Kotoko have announced date for preseason training ahead of the 2023/24 league season.

The former Ghana Premier league champions will commence pre-season on Tuesday, August 8, 2023 at Beposo Park in the Ashanti Region.

Asante Kotoko will open the 2023/24 season of the Ghana Premier League against league returnees Hearts of Lions at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi..
