Medeama part ways with three players; Check them

Ghanaian champions, Medeama SC have mutually parted ways with trio Ernest Mwankurinah, Ishmael Hammond and Darlington Gyanfosu Appiah.

This forms part of Medeama squad planning ahead of the 2023/24 league season.

A club’s statement reads, “We would like to thank Ernest, Ishmael and Darlington for their contribution to the team and wish them well in their future endeavours.”

Ernest Mwankurinah joined the Mauve and Yellow after leaving Techiman Eleven Wonders.

Darlington Gyanfosu Appiah distinguished himself since joining from Karela United while Ishmael Hammond is leaving after joining in 2022.

The three players contributed immensely to the club winning the Ghana Premier League title for the first time in thier history.

Meanwhile, Medeama have commenced preparation for the forthcoming CAF Champions League campaign after winning last season’s Ghana Premier league title.

The Tarkwa-based club have scheduled to play some highly-profiled international friendly matches to fine-tune squad before facing Nigerian side Remo Stars in the first stage of the Champions League prelims.

Medeama will play Togolese champions ASKO de Kara at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium in the Central Region on August 6, 2023 before facing American side DC United.
