Kojo Yankah believes Kurt Okraku will lose the seat

Former Western Regional Football Association chairman, Kojo Yankah is confident Kurt Okraku will never win the GFA presidential seat in the forthcoming elections.

According to the renowned football administrator, Kurt Okraku has failed woefully as GFA President and will definitely lose the elections.

Speaking on Accra-based Onua FM, Kojo Yankah, who has declared his intention to contest for the GFA top seat, stated that Kurt Okraku and his administration have underperformed and must be voted out in the upcoming elections.

“Kurt [Okraku] has failed, he won’t win the election, he’s very laughable and I pity him. He want to go unopposed because he knows he will lose the seat”, Kojo Yankah told Onua FM in an interview monitored by on Thursday, August 3, 2023.

On whether he is still holding on to his decision to contest for the GFA seat, Kojo Yankah who is currently in the United States said, “I will definitely come for the nomination forms, I will come for it at a time nobody expected.”

Meanwhile, the Elections Committee of the Ghana Football Association has announced the roadmap and guidelines for the 2023 GFA Elections.

According to the Elections Committee, individuals interested in contesting for the GFA Presidential seat will have to pay Gh¢50,000 for the nomination forms.

The committee says football governing body, FIFA, has received a copy of the GFA Elections Roadmap and Guidelines.”

The statement further says the 2023 GFA Elections shall be conducted in full compliance with the provisions of the GFA Statutes 2019 and the GFA Regulations on Elections 2019.
