Exclusive: Asante Kotoko sign WAFA captain Michael Dwamena

Dwamena has joined Asante Kotoko on two-year deal

Ghanaian giants, Asante Kotoko have completed the signing of WAFA SC skipper Michael Dwamena, can exclusively reveal. can exclusively report that the 23-year old midfielder has joined Asante Kotoko on a two-year deal with option for another year.

Dwamena has become Asante Kotoko first signing in the ongoing transfer window with official announcement expected soon.

Michael Dwamena is reuniting with former coach Prosper Narteh Ogum at Kotoko, having worked under him at WAFA in previous years.

He has joined Asante Kotoko as replacement for Richard Boadu who left the club for Al Ahly in Libya.

In other news, Asante Kotoko have reportedly entered talks with former AshantiGold SC attacking midfielder Seth Osei  to bolster squad for the 2023/24 league season.

The Porcupines are facing keen competition from newly-promoted Ghana Premier league outfit Nations FC who have expressed huge interest in the midfielder.

Seth Osei is currently a free agent after leaving Egyptian side Baladiyat El Mahalla SC despite helping the club to gain promotion to the Egyptian top-flight league.

Asante Kotoko will commence the 2023/24 season of the Ghana Premier League against Hearts of Lions at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi.
