Black Queens goalkeeper Cynthia Konlan nears Suadi Arabia move

Cynthia will be flying to Suadi Arabia in the coming days to seal her move

Black Queens goalkeeper, Cynthia Fiindib Konlan is on the verge of securing a move to Al Hilal’s Women’s team in Suadi Arabia from Swiequi United in Malta.

Sources available to understands that both sides have reached an agreement over the transfer of the stopper pending signing official contract.

Cynthia, aged 20, is expected to fly to Suadi Arabia in the coming days to complete the move.

Her arrival will mean a lot for Al Hilal’s Women’s team in the Suadi Women’s League.

The former Perl Pia Ladies number 1 stopper has been instrumental in the Black Queens Paris 2024 Olympic Game qualification series after they beat Guinea 7-0 on aggregate to advance to the next round of the qualifiers.

She rose through the ranks of the Black Maidens (U17) and Black Princesses (U-20) female national teams respectively with her outstanding performance before earning promotion to the senior national team, Black Queens.

The lanky goalkeeper was part of Coach Ben Fokuo’s team that played at the 2022 FIFA U-20 Womens World Cup that took place in Costa Rica.

Her mother club, Swiequi United is a Maltese professional football team based in Swiequi, Malta, founded in 20216 and has since become one of the most successful womens team in the country.

They play their home matches at Swiequi Ground, which is a state-of-the-art facility that provides the team with perfect environment to train and play.
