The astute businessman is ready to serve Kotoko as board member

President of Afro Arab Group of Companies, Ambassador Alhaji Salamu Amadu has declared his readiness to serve Asante Kotoko as a board member.

The renowned businessman, who has been an avid supporter of Kotoko since infancy, says he will never hesitate to serve the club as board member when given the opportunity.

“Asante Kotoko is the only club I support in the world, and I’m always ready to serve on the Board anytime our patron, Otumfour, calls me to come and serve,” he told Happy FM in an interview.

Meanwhile, Asante Kotoko owner Otumfuo Osei Tutu II has dissolved the immediate-past board members led by astute business mogul Dr Kwame Kyei.

This was after their three-year mandate came to end last month with the club’s management team led by Nana Yaw Amponsah also dissolved.

The Asantehene has currently appointed a four-man interim management committee to steer the affairs of Kotoko until the club’s administration is restructured.

The committee is led by Nana Apinkra Akwasi Awua; Kontomponiaferehene and a chartered accountant.

Others members include former Black Stars coach James Kwesi Appiah, Dr Prosper Narteh Ogum and Emmanuel Newton Dasoberi as the administrative manager.

The committee has been tasked to ensure the club fulfill all the statutory obligations for the Ghana Premier league and prepare a formidable team for next season.

Narteh Ogum has taken charge of Kotoko as head coach after the sacking of Burkinabe trainer Seydou Zerbo in midday of last season with youth team coach Abdulai Gazale taking over for the rest of the season as interim.
