Hafiz Konkoni begins training with new club Young Africans

The 23-year old signed a two-year deal for the Tanzanian champions

Ghana striker Hafiz Konkoni has begun training with new club Young Africans after ahead of the upcoming league season.

The 23-year old signed a two-year deal for the Tanzanian champions on Saturday, July 29, 2023 with option to renew the contract for additional one year.

Konkoni has joined Young Africans following his impeccable form for Bechem United in the just-ended season of the Ghana Premier League.

He was engaged in some gym works with his new teammates on Monday to prepare for the forthcoming season.

Hafiz Konkoni netted 15 goals in 29 matches for Bechem United last season, which earned him an invitation to the Ghana national team ahead of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Madagascar in June.

Konkoni was heavily linked to Ghanaian giants Hearts of Oak and Al Hilal SC in Sudan but opted to continue his career in Tanzania.

His addition comes as a huge boost to Young Africans who are augmenting their squad for the upcoming CAF Champions League campaign after winning the Tanzanian league.
