Official: Mudasiru Salifu leaves Asante Kotoko

He successfully switched camp to Al-Bukiryah FC after his loan spell with Sheriff Tiraspol

Mudasiru Salifu of Kumasi Asante Kotoko has officially departed the cub to Al-Bukiryah FC of Saudi Arabia after an incredible four seasons with the club.

He joined the Saudi Arabian club on a permanent deal in an undisclosed fee after a successful negotiation.

This was after he had spent two successful loan spells at Moldovan club FC Sheriff Tiraspol from the Ghanaian club.

Asante Kotoko in a statement underscores contributions of their former vice captain and thanked him for the service rendered to the club.

“Mudasiru’s contributions to the club ever since his arrival have been immeasurable both on and off the pitch, playing a vital role in our title-winning season.

Everyone at the club would like to express our utmost gratitude to Mudasiru for his contributions over the course of four years with the club,” the club said.

Arriving at the club in 2019, his high levels of enthusiasm and professionalism coupled with performance saw him named vice captain for the season.

He was integral in the clubs team that won the 2021-2022 Ghana Premier League.

Mudasiru’s departure becomes the second to have left the club following Richard Boadu’s move to Al Ahly Sporting Club of Lybia.

During his loan spells at Moldovan club FC Sheriff Tiraspol he helped them secure a group stage berth in the UEFA Europa League.
