He netted 15 goals in 29 matches for Bechem United last season, which earned him an invitation to the Ghana national team ahead of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Madagascar in June.

Konkoni was heavily linked to Ghanaian giants Hearts of Oak and Al Hilal SC in Sudan but opted to continue his career in Tanzania.

His addition comes as a huge boost to Young Africans who are augmenting their squad for the upcoming CAF Champions League campaign after winning the Tanzanian league.
