Ghanaian giants, Asante Kotoko have expressed interest in FC Samartex midfielder, Seidu Dauda according to report reaching Getsportsgh.com.

The 23-year old has become a target for Asante Kotoko after a splendid form for FC Samartex in the just-ended season of the Ghana Premier League.

Per the report, Kotoko have made a contact to Samartex for the service of the talented midfielder who has been deemed as perfect replacement for Richard Boadu who left the club for Libyan side Al Ahly SC.

Seidu Dauda has been a sensation since joining FC Samartex prior to the commencement of the 2022/23 league season.

Meanwhile, Kotoko skipper Richard Boadu has joined Al Ahly on a permanent deal subject to medicals, with the Ghanian powerhouse in search of a replacement.

Boadu, whose football career began with the youth side, rejoined the club in September 2021, playing an integral role in the club’s Premier League triumph in the 2021/2022 season.

He was named Asante Kotoko captain at the start of the 2022–2023 season, having shown resilience, commitment, and stellar performances in his debut season with the club.

Boadu leaves Kotoko with the record number of tackles in the team and most duels won, scoring two goals with five assists and eight man-of-the-match awards in his last season with the club.
