John Eduafo close to rejoining Asante Kotoko

Eduafo is returning to Kotoko after stint with Kotoku Royals

Former Asante Kotoko assistant coach, John Eduafo is close to rejoining the club for the same role, understands.

This comes after talks with Prosper Narteh Ogum who has been re-appointed as Asante Kotoko head coach.

The two worked together at Asante Kotoko eleven months ago before leaving the club after issues with the immediate-past management team led by Nana Yaw Amponsah.

Eduafo is returning to Asante Kotoko after stint with Kotoku Royals who suffered relegation in the just-ended season of the Ghana Premier League.

At Kotoko, Eduafo helped the club to win the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League title before their departure.

John Eduafo is a CAF license A holder and had also worked at Techiman Eleven Wonders.

Meanwhile, the owner of Asante Kotoko, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II has named a four-man interim management committee to steer the affairs of the club until its administration is restructured.

The four-man committee was announced by Otumfuo after the dissolution of the immediate-past board members and management team few days ago.

The committee comprised of Nana Apinkra Akwasi Awua; the Kontomponiaferehene and a chartered accountant, James Kwesi Appiah, Dr Prosper Narteh Ogum; the newly appointed Kotoko head coach and Emmanuel Newton Dasoberi as the administrative manager.

The committee has been mandated to run the affairs of the club until the administration of the club is restructured following the dissolution of the immediate-past board and management members.

The committee has also been tasked to ensure the club fulfill all the statutory obligations for the Ghana Premier league and prepare a formidable team for next season.
