Exclusive: George Afriyie names campaign team for GFA elections

The former GFA Vice President has officially declared his intention

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) presidential aspirant, George Afriyie has named his campaign team members.

The former GFA Vice President has officially declared his intention to contest for the seat in the upcoming elections.

With Kurt Okraku’s mandate ending in October 2023, it is expected that several football administrators will come up to contest for the seat of the next FA President.

George Afriyie was the next person to announce his intentions to step in the shoes of GFA President after Kojo Yankah announced his intentions to be the next FA boss.

And as part of his preparations to contest for the enviable position in the Ghanaian football industry, George Afriyie has put together a seven-member campaign team.

Astute legal practitioner, Kwaku Ayiah (Esq) will lead the campaign team comprising of Ashford Tetteh Oku, Samuel Otuo Acheampong and Collins Clancy Atta Poku.

Other members include George Ofosuhene, Nana Amankwah with Emmanuel Newton Dasoberi of Asante Kotoko as the secretary.

George Afriyie will be contesting the incumbent Kurt Okraku for the GFA seat for the second time after a defeat four years ago.
