Michael Ampadu courts interest from Hearts of Oak

The astute right-back has emerged on Hearts of Oak wishlist

Perspicacious defender, Michael Ampadu has courted serious interest from Ghanaian powerhouse Hearts of Oak.

According to Ghanaian local football transfer expert, Shaban Mohammed, the astute right-back has emerged on Hearts of Oak wishlist with talks to capture his signature ongoing.

Michael Ampadu is currently unattached after leaving Legon Cities FC on mutual consent as reported by hours ago.

The 26-year old joined Legon Cities FC three seasons ago and was a sensation since his arrival.

Should negotiations end in success, Ampadu will become Hearts of Oak new signing after defender Kelvin Osei Asibey who joined from Bofoakwa Tano FC in the ongoing window.

Ampadu played for Liberty Professionals for four seasons from 2016 to 2020 before joining Legon Cities in 2020 in the club’s bid to bolster their squad ahead of the 2020–21 Ghana Premier League season.

Following his exploits in the Ghana Premier league, Michael Ampadu earned a call-up to the Ghana U23 national team in 2019.

He was called up into the team by Ibrahim Tanko and he played for Ghana during the 2019 Africa U-23 Cup of Nations qualifiers.
