Legon Cities part ways with Michael Ampadu

The 26-year old right-back has left the Accra-based club

Ghana Premier league outfit Legon Cities FC have mutually parted ways with defender Michael Ampadu, Getsportsgh.com has learnt.

The 26-year old right-back has left the Accra-based club after the 2022/23 league season.

Ampadu ha been a sensation since joining Legon Cities FC barely three years ago.

Michael Ampadu played for Liberty Professionals for four seasons from 2016 to 2020 before joining Legon Cities in 2020 in the club’s bid to bolster their squad ahead of the 2020–21 Ghana Premier League season.

Following his exploits in the Ghana Premier league, Ampadu earned a call-up to the Ghana U23 national team in 2019.

He was called up into the team by Ibrahim Tanko and he played for Ghana during the 2019 Africa U-23 Cup of Nations qualifiers.

Meanwhile, Legon Cities FC have appointed Paa Kwesi Fabin as their new head coach ahead of the 2023/24 league season.

Fabin has joined the Accra-based club as replacement for Maxwell Konadu who left the club for Nsoatreman FC.

Paa Kwesi Fabin has been appointed Legon Cities FC head coach after leaving Aduana Stars despite guiding the team to second position on the Ghana Premier league last season.
