W/R: Rospak FC secure Division One League qualification

Tarkwa-based Rospak FC have secured a ticket to play in 2023/24 Division One League season.

This was after beating Kofi Kinaata’s Team Move FC 3:0 in the Western Region Football Association’s super middle league at Gyandu Park in Sekondi on Sunday, July 23, 2023.

It was a game both sides exhibited an overwhelming performances but Rospak FC showed enough muscles in the second half and carried the day as winners.

The final game was witnessed by Ghana’s all-time leading topscorer, Asamoah Gyan and his former Black Stars teammate John Paintsil with multiple award-winning musician Kofi Kinaata alongside other football legends also in presence.

Rospak FC have made a return to Ghanaian second-tier football league after several years of attempts.

Rospak FC will compete in the zone two of next season’s division one league..

Meanwhile, the Ghana Football Association has announced that the 2023/24 division one league sponsored by Access Bank will commence from Wednesday, October 4 to Monday, October 9, 2023 across all Zones.

According to the GFA, this follows the approval of the plan for the 2023-24 football season by its Executive Council.
