Ghanaian giants, Asante Kotoko could re-appoint Dr Prosper Nartey Ogum as their new head coach according to multiple reports reaching

Ogum left Kotoko eleven months ago after guiding the team to the league title.

The Ghana Premier league heavyweight is currently without a substantive head coach after the sacking of Burkinabe trainer Seydou Zerbo in March this year.

It was assistant coach Abdulai Gazale who spearheaded Kotoko on the interim until the end of last season where the club failed to defend the league title.

Kotoko is currently in search of a new head coach ahead of the 2023/24 season with former Black Stars gaffer Kwesi Appiah tasked to lead the club in the hunt.

Even though names of several coaches have popped up, reports reaching divulge that Dr Prosper Nartey Ogum is favorite to be named the new head coach of Asante Kotoko should negotiations end in success.

Ogum joined Asante Kotoko before the start of the 2021/22 league season from West African Football Academy (WAFA).

He led Kotoko to the league that season before leaving the club after several issues with the management team led by Nana Yaw Amponsah.

Meanwhile, there is a report that coach Kwesi Appiah could be appointed as the Kotoko technical director hence why Otumfuo has tasked him to lead the club in the search of a new head coach.
