Photos: Nartey Ogum spotted at Adako Jachie for Otumfuo’s visit

The Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II will be touring the Kotoko training facility

Incoming Asante Kotoko head coach, Dr Prosper Nartey Ogum has been spotted at the club’s training facility at Adako Jachie ahead of Otumfuo’s visit to the area.

The Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II will be touring the Kotoko training facility this afternoon alongside some club legends, supporters leadership and other stakeholders.

The visit is to enable the King get first-hand knowledge about the ongoing work at the facility.

Among the guests at the facility is Dr Prosper Nartey Ogum who is set to takeover Kotoko as the new head coach for the second time.

It is believed Ogum has completed talks to become the new head coach of the club, pending official announcement.

Kotoko has been without a substantive head coach since the sacking of Burkinabe trainer Seydou Zerbo in March this year with Abdulai Gazale taking over the role on the interim for the rest of last season.

Ogum is returning to Kotoko after eleven months of leaving the club.

He joined Asante Kotoko before the start of the 2021/22 league season from West African Football Academy (WAFA).

He led Kotoko to the league that season before leaving the club after several issues with the management team led by Nana Yaw Amponsah.

Meanwhile, there is a report that coach Kwesi Appiah could be appointed as the Kotoko technical director hence why Otumfuo has tasked him to lead the club in the search of a new head coach.
