Chelsea in talks to sign Mohammed Kudus

According to The Athletic, the London-based club have begun talks

 

Ghana midfielder, Mohammed Kudus has emerged as top target for Chelsea in the ongoing transfer window.

According to The Athletic, the London-based club have begun talks to sign the 22-year old from Ajax FC this summer to bolster squad for next season.

The report says Chelsea are close to reaching a personal agreement with the versatile midfielder, who is priced at £40million, for a possible move away from the Netherlands.

Kudus was a sensation for Ajax FC in the Dutch league last season even though the team failed to win the league title.

His exploits last season attracted interest from clubs like Manchester United, Newcastle United and Arsenal.

Aside the aforementioned clubs, reports of Brighton wanting his signature also surfaced the internet but the deal couldn’t materialized.

He netted 18 goals with seven assists in 42 games across all competitions last season for Ajax.
