We’re living no stone unturn against Guinea – Black Queens coach

The Head Coach of the senior women’s national football team, ‘Black Queens’ Nora Häuptle says her side is winning the all-important clash against their Guinean opponents in today’s second leg of the first-round qualifiers for the Paris 2024 Olympics.

Ahead of the tie, coach Nora believes it is now or never to cross this hurdle and ensure that their qualification to the Olympics game is sealed.

She made the comment during a presser ahead of second match between Ghana and Guinea in the ongoing Paris 2024 Olympic Games qualifiers. The match is scheduled for a 4:00pm kickoff at the Accra Sports stadium on Tuesday, July 18, 2023.

“Like I said before, we are a powerhouse. I don’t judge my team based on strengths and weaknesses. I think we have a lot of strengths and first of all my style is always to develop the strengths of the team.

It is nice to be back home in Accra, we had a good away game facing some challenges of course on this adventurous journey to Guinea but we had a very stable Game.

I was very satisfied with how we brought our idea to the pitch, how we analysed our opponent very well and we had a good control over the game.

“Now about our recovery, we had a long flight after our initial flights got cancelled but in all those challenges we faced, we try to drive solutions and get back the energy, so we had a good recovery session ……,” she added.

According to coach Nora Häuptle the team is fully prepared amidst the confidence at camp to record a double victory over their counterpart at the Accra Sports Stadium on the matchday.

Black Queens currently hold a commanding lead after winning the first leg 3-0 in Conakry. A win or draw however, will send Ghana to the next of the qualifiers where the Black Queen will play the winner of the match between Rwanda and Uganda in the second-round qualifiers.
