Bofoakwa Tano: I’ve come to stay – Coach Frimpong Manso assures fans

Head coach of newly promoted Ghana Premier League side Bofoakwa Tano, Frimpong Manso has assured supporters of his stay at the Sunayani-based club.

The former Ghanaian International takes over from Fuseini Abubakar who guided the team to a premier league berth after it had suffered relegation following the 2006/2007 campaign.

In lead-up to the 2023/24 Ghana football season which kick starts in September 2023, management of the Sunyani-based club appointed Mr. Manso to lead them taste topflight football for the first time in 16 years.

His appointment become imminent following the inability of Fuseini Abubakar to lead the team in the top-flight competition since he does not possess a CAF A License certificate.

Speaking at a press conference on Monday, July 16, 2023, at the Suncity Lodge in Sunyani for the first time after taking over the club, the former Kumasi Asante Kotoko manager said he aims at chalking success at the club.

“I’m happy to be at Bofo, I’m here to stay. My second coming to Sunyani will be the best because I have learnt a lot of lessons and I will do my best to help the club achieve success,” says Coach Frimpong Manso.

Having previously managed several clubs, including Eleven Wonders, Nkoranza Warriors, Asante Kotoko, among others, he is expected to bring on board vast experience to Bofoakwa Tano.
